The JJI is amazing place to train if you’re looking for a friendly and knowledgeable place to practice Jiu Jitsu. The Instructor and higher belts know what they’re teaching and go at a moderate pace for all levels. Between the dynamic class hours to the well cleaned gym floors, I can’t think of a single reason as to why I would want to train somewhere else.
Excellent instruction and atmosphere. Gil is an excellent instructor with a great deal of training in the art from the Mendes Brothers at Art of Jiu Jitsu. He makes everyone feel welcome. Robert Taylor does an excellent job with the kids program, creating a positive and fun learning environment that encourages growth and learning. If you are looking for something new for your kids or you are considering something new for yourself, come check it out!

Gil has created a top notch academy. He makes everyone feel welcome and his Jiu Jitsu instruction is by far the best in town. Robert Taylor is an awesome kids instructor and he really understands how kids learn. Within 2 months of training, Gil helped my son by adding elements to his game that are not taught anywhere in town. Thanks Gil and Robert
I was excited when this place was being built. The people here are outstanding and very friendly. The coaches are excellent in their instruction. They also have a very solid kids program running here. I highly recommend you give this gym a shot if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed. I find myself these days only able to come on Sundays for their open mat sessions and never leave disappointed. The training is great!
Super welcoming environment. Calm setting filled with a lot of skills and techniques. Gil and Robert are great at teaching every skill level and are also great when teaching my kids. Thank you JJI.
Coming in completely new to any sort of combat sport I really appreciated how patient all of the members here have been with me, everyone has had a helpful attitude. The instructor Gil and assistant instructor are easy going and well suited to teach, they’re happy to pass on knowledge. Definitely a great learning environment.
Great, friendly atmosphere with a top notch instructor. Clean facility with an amazing group of guys. Always excited about coming in and learning something new or improving on what I already did learn. Gil received his brown belt under the Mendez brothers so his skills are legitamite and he's willing to share them. Would recommend ANYONE try this academy of ALL skill sets.
I love this place! Gill is an awesome instructor and will certainly make you feel welcome. I joined The Jiu-Jitsu Institute in August mainly to learn how to defend myself. I feel much more confident now in my everyday life with how I talk to people and handle confrontations. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you are a brand new jujitsu student like myself or a seasoned black belt you must come check this place out!
The best place to train. With my experience with schools in town, this is surely the cleanest. The instruction is the best, if you can't understand something it will get broken down for you so you then can understand and get the technique down. You should come and check the school out!
